Best of KBIS 2016: New Award-winning Products for Kitchens and Baths

The 2016 Design & Construction Week in Las Vegas, which includes the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) and the International Builders Show (IBS), was even more spectacular and exciting, if possible, than last year. It attracted more than 110,000 building professionals—remodelers, builders, architects, and designers—who attended educational seminars and spent time at the exhibits to experience the latest developments in design and technology for the home.

Each year KBIS encourages manufacturers to enter their new products into the Best of KBIS contest. A group of design professionals walked the show floor to review each of the more than 150 entries in order to select this year’s most innovative and trend-forward products for the kitchen and bath. The winners are as follows:

Best in ShowPerfect Steam Washer with SmartBoost Technology and LuxCare Wash by Electrolux
Electrolux unveiled a first-of-its-kind technology called SmartBoost that delivers a deep clean and removes tough stains by premixing water and detergent in a special chamber before the wash cycle begins. The LuxCare wash system features improved wash actions, perfect cycle timing, temperature control, and smart load sensing.

Best of Kitchen: Gold Kaza Concrete by Walker Zanger
Walker Zanger has transformed concrete into a luxurious material in the new Kaza Concrete collection. The collection incorporates tactile 3-D elements for bold accent walls. The interchangeable textures, patterns and colors in the collection allow designers and homeowners to create a variety of looks.

Best of Kitchen: SilverUPR 503 Undercounter Pullout Refrigerator by Liebherr
The UPR 503 by Liebherr is compact, but well organized, with practical pull-out glass shelves and fully extendible drawers. This refrigerator is perfect for storing beverages in the designated bottle shelf, and fruits and vegetables in the storage space underneath, which can be divided further into two equal-sized compartments.

Best of Bath: GoldVibrato Faucet, DXV by American Standard
The Vibrato faucet, along with the Trope and Shadowbrook faucets, launched by DXV are the first ready-for-market working residential faucets to be 3D printed in metal. These stainless steel faucets are characterized by concealed waterways, beguiling the user as water flows from what appears to be a hollow spout.

Best of Bath: SilverBalletto by Robern
The Balletto vanity by Robern is crafted to create balance of comfort, functionality and elegance in a timeless, minimalist design. It features a one-of-a-kind hidden side storage drawer offering a discreet, yet convenient storage solution for an array of small items while minimizing space.
